Aravind appeared before high court
Allu Aravind who is the general secretary of the PRP and the Managing Trustee of Chiranjeevi Charitable Foundation attended the high court for the case booked by the jubilee hills police. Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) leader Allu Aravind for allegedly insulting the national flag by hoisting it upside down at the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank on August 15. The case was registered following a direction by a local court.On August 15, when Aravind hoisted the flag at the blood bank it first fell down from the pole. It was reset and again hoisted by Aravind but this time the flag went upside down. Jubilee Hills police registered a case under the Prevention of Insult to National Honour Act, 1971.
Arvind requested the court that it was done unintentionally and asked them to relieve him from the further court proceedings. The case is adjourned.
